Thanksgiving – 19 Jun 2021

1. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you for your intercession through all my worries and troubles. My husband has been granted permission to stay with me in Singapore. Thank you, Mother for looking after us.

Your Catholic Daughter.

2. Dear Mother Mary,

I want to offer my thanksgiving to you for my mother-in-law’s recovery from Covid-19. We were so afraid as she lives alone in India. Thank you, Mother Mary, for protecting her and helping her to overcome the challenges she faced when she was tested positive. Thank you also for keeping me and my family, here in Singapore, India, Dubai and Australia safe and sound.

Your Daughter.

3. Dear Mother Mary,

This is a long overdue thanksgiving letter. At the beginning of last November, my father went through radiation therapy for prostate cancer. The radiation therapy was successful, though my dad suffered terrible side effects after that. Mother Mary, thank you for being by his side during the treatment and for helping him cope with the side effects. He is well now. Thank you, Mother, for your intercession and to our Lord Jesus for protecting of my father.

Your Grateful Child.

4. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

More than a year has passed since the first time I came before your icon seeking your aid – first, to heal my wife and children and secondly, for their conversion to the Catholic faith. Through your intercession, you have brought about what two years ago would have seemed impossible. In spite of my family’s initial objection, the Lord allowed my wife and I to go through the RCIA. In spite of the pandemic, the RCIA at Novena Church was able to proceed to completion. In spite of our unforgiving schedules and lack of support in taking care of our three children, the Lord cleared these obstacles and doubts that lay in the way of our conversion. Happily, we were baptised this April. We love you and we thank you, dearest Mother Mary, for bringing us to your Son, Jesus. Never permit us to depart from you, not even for a moment.

Your Grateful Children.
