Thanksgiving – 9 Nov 2019

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

There’s plenty to be thankful for this week. I constantly receive gifts from people around me and each of them reminds me of the closeness I have come to be with God, through Jesus and your intercession. A few weeks ago, I asked for strength and reminders to sustain my faith as I feared that I would become complacent. Thank you, Mother, for keeping me close, safe and strong.

I’d also like to thank you for the people I work with – my colleagues and students. This year in particular, I have strengthened my relationship with many of them. There’s greater trust, understanding and acceptance and these helped me in the process of my healing. I have learnt that my vulnerability and brokenness are not things I have to mask over. Instead, it’s through them that we connect.

Your Loving Son.

  1. Dearest Mary Mother of God,

This is a thanksgiving letter to you. Some weeks ago, I submitted a petition letter during the Triduum. I asked for your intercessory prayer for employment so that I can continue to provide for my family. I humbly asked for a good employer to look beyond my age & my education level. Jobs are difficult to come by with a basic education and ageism is so real. I cannot thank you enough, I was just offered a job & I am starting next week. I am very happy Mother Mary.

I love you Mother Mary. I can now have some peace of mind as I can provide the basic needs for my family. Thank you once again!

Your Loving & Faithful Daughter.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

I like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my pilgrimage to your holy ground in Fatima and Lourdes a memorable and spiritual one last month. Mother I felt the peace in praying away from all busyness and distractions. Thank you, Mother, for this beautiful experience and help me to stay focused on you and your Son Jesus at all times.

Your Loving Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

My family and I thank you and our Lord Jesus for granting my eldest daughter a wonderful wedding at Holy Family Church. The wedding went smoothly with the Lord’s blessings. Thank you.

Your children.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

I thank you for your help in allowing my HDB home to be rented out to a tenant smoothly. I sincerely appreciate your help.

Thank you, Mother Mary, once again.

Your Non-Catholic Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I thank you for helping and calming me through my day surgery for a biopsy procedure. I asked for your intercession & mercy that the biopsy result will be benign and not be cancerous. The result showed that it is non-malignant. I am truly thankful & grateful to you for interceding for me and my prayers are answered.

Your Loving Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother,

I have been coming to your Shrine since I was twelve and you have answered so many of my petitions. You are such a loving Mother who never ceases to care even though I am such a sinful man. Thank you, my Heavenly Mother!

My daughter was admitted to a hospital on Wednesday because of a urinary tract infection and she was such in pain. I cried out to Jesus to stop her pain and once again you interceded for her. Please continue to pray for her full recovery and to live a happy, healthy and long life. Most importantly, please pray for her to embrace your Son, Jesus Christ, as Lord & Saviour one day soon.

Once again, thank you very much Dearest Mother.

Your unworthy Catholic Son.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for your intercession and guidance for my husband to take the right path to heal his sickness. My husband who was diagnosed with esophageal cancer on the 31st July 2019 has finally agreed to go for conventional treatment. I am truly thankful & grateful to you, Mother Mary for interceding for me.  He will be going for surgery on the 6th November 2019. Please have mercy on him & bless him so that he can have the surgery done successfully. Thank you, Mother Mary.

Your Grateful Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

A couple weeks ago I prayed to you regarding my sister-in-law’s complicated brain tumor surgery. Thank you very much for your never-ending protection over her and her surgery went perfectly. She is recovering very quickly and is back home with us. Thank you for hearing our prayers and answering our petition.

Your Loving Child.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Today my husband texted me to tell me that he almost met with an accident on his way to work in the morning. But, thanks to you, dear God & your Son Jesus Christ, all was well & he managed to swerve away in time to avoid the accident. You have helped ward him off a couple of accidents throughout these years. We are ever grateful for your watchful care over him. Thank you once again for watching over all of us and our loved ones. We feel so loved with your protection.

With love, Your non-Catholic Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for interceding for our daughter. We prayed that God will choose a secondary school that suits her during the recent Direct School Admission exercise. He made the decision very clear by giving my daughter only one offer from the three schools that we applied for. This was not my daughter’s first choice but we will surrender to God’s will and wisdom. God has chosen a Catholic school for her and my daughter has now accepted the Lord’s decision. Please watch over her and guide her as she embarks on a new chapter in her secondary school next year, and bless her with good teachers and friends. Thank you, dearest Mother.

Your Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I cannot express fully how grateful I am for your constant blessings & care over me with your Son Jesus, this year especially and in the last couple of months. It has been a difficult year at work & I had been facing a lot of stress & unhappiness. But it has always been with your courage & strength that I was able to take the leap of faith to move on. While quitting was a tough decision, I believe my life is in your hands, and you have a plan for me. Furthermore, I am ever so thankful for your guidance and even allowing me to get another job within the industry in a short period of time. Thank you for always being there for me.

Your Loving Son.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks and praise to our Lord Jesus and you, Mother Mary, for making it possible to celebrate several of my important milestones in the month of October 2019. I had celebrated my 64th birthday with the blessings from God and with the guidance of you Mother. I also celebrated the 40th year of my baptism. I was baptized by the late Fr Gerald Casper in October 1979 at the Blessed Sacrament Church. My baptism was the most memorable day of my life as I had grown up in a Taoist family. I am now celebrating my 50th year of attending the Novena services in this Church. My non-Catholic late grandmother first brought my older sister and me to attend the Novena service when I was 14 years old. I had since been attending the Novena services regularly all these years. Mother Mary please continue to intercede and pray for me and my family.

Your Grateful Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother,

My wife had a seizure and went unconscious for several minutes during the flight out from Singapore. However, through your intercession, we had 3 doctors on board and she recovered after they attended to her. We completed our 17 days on the road trip which included a day in Fatima. We prayed for a safe return and it was granted. Last Wednesday, we decided to do a thorough medical test and doctor confirmed that she suffered a seizure attack. We believe that this was your way of giving us an early warning about her condition. We now ask for your kind intercession for her healing and to guide the doctor in giving her the right medication.

Your Son.
