Thanksgiving – 31 Oct 2020

1. Dear Mother Mary,

I was in the kitchen last week when the cabinets tumbled down behind me. Although I was left in a state of shock, it was really a miracle that I was completely unhurt. I thank the Lord for saving my life, and I am forever grateful for your unfailing help and intercession, dear Mother.

Your grateful daughter.

2. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you for helping me to obtain the grace that I needed to complete all my exams. I thank Jesus and the Holy Spirit too for helping me over the course of my revision and my exams. I would not have been able to pull through had it not been for your intercession, Mother, and God’s grace. Thank you once again for your never-ending love and prayers.

3. Dear Mother Mary,

I experienced a burnout when I was in my previous job, and for the sake of my own health, I resigned in the midst of this pandemic. I am thankful that I was able to unwind and rest after my resignation. I also managed to spend more quality time with God through prayer and the reading of the Scriptures, and in doing so, I experienced a long-lost peace. As I walked past Novena Church earlier today, I made the sign of the Cross, and said a quick prayer. At that very moment, I received a very good job offer. This made me realise that God knew that I needed some time to rest and recharge before I return to work again. Thank you, Mother, for the peace I’ve experienced, and for obtaining for me the necessary graces which I needed to move forward. I love you Jesus and Mama Mary.

Your grateful child.

4. Dearest Mother,

Thank you for your prayers and for the many blessings we have received through your Son, Jesus. You were there when we needed you desperately in China during our traumatic experience. In the midst of the pandemic, you guided us and obtained for us the courage and grace we needed to pull through. Thank you for your unfailing help and protection in the midst of all our trials and tribulations.

Your eternally grateful child.

5. Dearest Mama Mary,

I wrote a petition last week for my niece who was about to undergo a procedure to remove a tumour in her kidney. I was praying the rosary and the Divine Mercy chaplet throughout the entire surgery. Thanks to your powerful intercession, the surgery was a success, and she has recovered. I can’t thank you enough, dear Mother. I know that you are always with us. Thank you for your love. We trust in you and we love you.

Your loving and faithful child.

6. Dear Mother Mary,

I would like to thank you for the good relationship between my boyfriend and me. Thank you for helping me to find someone who is suitable for me and who loves me. Please continue to pray for us that our relationship will blossom and flourish, and that we may grow in love.

Your grateful daughter.

7. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank You for interceding for me and my friend whom I had an argument with. We did not contact each other for three months. Although I am still unsure and undecided on whether I should continue this friendship, I am grateful that he has finally broken the silence and poured out his heart to me. I believe it’s from your intercession and the help of your Son Jesus. Thank you, Mother.

8. Dear Mother Mary,

I would like to thank you for your intercession for my daughters. They have arrived safely in the United States to continue their studies. Please continue to pray for them for their health and safety in these challenging and uncertain times.

Your Catholic daughter.

9. Dear Mother,

I obtained a positive result from my pregnancy test kit, and I am overjoyed. This is my second child after three years, and I thank you, Mother, for your love and blessings. It is a blessing indeed to be a mother.

Your grateful daughter.

10. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you with all my heart for assisting my daughter with her US visa application. She graduated from a university in the US last May and she got a job at a very reputable company. However, after six months, the company couldn’t extend her contract due to visa and immigration complications. Although her visa has expired, her employers were kind and placed her on leave of absence while she was applying for her visa extension. It was a very stressful period for her. Thankfully, she got the news that her visa was approved last week and she was overjoyed. I knew that it was you, Mother, who assisted with her visa and interceded for her and for my whole family. Thank you, dearest Mother Mary, for your unceasing care.

Your Catholic son.

11. Dearest Mother Of Perpetual Help,

Thank you for interceding for my uncle who went for a very high-risk heart surgery last Monday. He has atrial fibrillation, which meant that his heart could stop beating anytime. His operation was a success and after only one day in hospital, he was discharged. My family and I are very thankful to you, dearest Mother Mary, and Jesus, for watching over him and helping him pull through the operation.

Your faithful daughter.
