Thanksgiving – 23 Feb 2019

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for asking Jesus to help my great aunt to recover from her operation. She is well and happy and I met her at the reunion dinner. Thank you for helping her to happy again as she was feeling very down before the operation.

Your Loving Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you for blessing my husband and I with our 2nd Although my husband has infertility issues and we had waited for 6 years, you have answered our prayers. This is a true miracle as many doctors and specialists had recommended us to do IVF as natural conception would be close to impossible. We have never lost faith in you and thank you so much for answering our prayers.

  1. Dearest Mother,

So much have happened over the last three years of our lives. It has been a roller coaster ride; juggling matters single-handedly, ensuring the safety and protection of my family and keeping us together when we were falling apart. None of these would have been possible without your intercession and you watching over us. I often look back on my life and know that I draw my strength from you and your compassion on all our shortcomings and frailties. 2019 will bring many hard decisions and choices for us but I lean on your wisdom and guidance to help us make the right decisions and put all our trust in you and Jesus. Thank you, dearest Mother, from the bottom of my heart.

Your Loving Daughter.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

I have been attending the Novena since I was baptised as a 10-year old. I have never been able to sustain the discipline to attend Mass and the Novena weekly for an extended period until recently. I have been attending both without fail for almost a year now. I have only missed one weekend when the family went on vacation last December. As I listened intently to the Thanksgiving testimonies and petitions, I reflected on my life and found that I had similar struggles throughout my life. Then it dawned on me that I have never really thanked you and your Son, for answering my prayers on many occasions. I will be 56 years old at end of this month. Thank you, Mother, and to your Son, Jesus, for always being there for me.

Your Catholic Son.

  1. Dearest Mother,

I thank you for the gift of consolation in this current moment as I am sitting in Church awaiting for Mass to begin. My thoughts are running wild having gone through a final interview but not doing great as there were many questions and doubts over the assumptions I made in my business. Thank you for being there for me. I trust that God has a plan for me and requires me to cooperate with Him. Hence, I thank you for showing me obedience as you did when you embraced the uncertainty of pregnancy before marrying your husband and fleeing to ensure the safety of your Son, Jesus. I seek your qualities of trusting in God who provides. I truly thank you for directing me to seek God in all things, even where I am at this moment.

Your Grateful Son.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Sorry for the late thanksgiving. I had lumps in my lymph nodes last month. After going through the blood checks, my white blood cells were very low. I had to go through many blood tests and procedures. There was some abnormality, hence the doctor has asked me to go for another scan to make sure it is not lymphoma or leukemia. My family and friends were worried and my husband and I prayed the rosary daily. When the last blood test result came back, my white blood cells have increased and I need not have to go through another scan. Thank you, dear Mother, for hearing our prayers.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

3 weeks ago, I had a very good friend who was warded to treat an ailing heart that was failing her within a week according to the doctors. In the ensuing days her heart had stopped many times, infection and fever set in and fluid gathered and was filling her lungs. She had difficulty breathing and at one point two days before CNY, she had gone into a coma with a low heart rate and the x-ray had shown there was bleeding in her heart. The doctors could not determine the source. I sent in a petition for your prayers and intercession to God to heal and save her. And once again, God’s infinite mercy touched her and healed her. Without any medical intervention, her heart beat started climbing and she regained consciousness on 5 Feb. Doctors did a barrage of tests and found no bleeding in her heart or scarred tissues. The fever and infection and fluid were all gone. Just a few days before she needed assistance to get out of bed, now she is able to walk on her own to the bathroom. She was discharged from the hospital and is on medical leave. Dearest Mother, we know all this would not have been possible without your intercession and prayers and our Lord Jesus Christ’s infinite mercy and compassion. We are very grateful for this healing to happen. It is a God experience that will remain in us.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for your abundant blessings early this year. We have received our citizenship approval letter. My son did well for his ‘O’ Levels and has secured admission into a good Junior College. His health too has improved over the past few months.

Your Loving Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

My brother was arrested in September 2018 due to implanted drugs. He was put into jail for something that he did not do. I prayed for your intercession every Saturday and today, he was acquitted. I believe that your loving care for me has answered my prayers. He can now start a new life with hope and gratitude.

Your Ever-Grateful Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I have been receiving your blessings since young. Please forgive me for taking so long to write a thanksgiving to you. I came to Singapore as a visitor seeking a job. I tried my best to get a job here but was not successful. I came to pray to you before I went back to my country and I kept my faith in you. It was to my surprise after I returned, I received information that there were interviews and I went for an interview and was selected and I came back to Singapore to work within a year. You have blessed me with a beautiful family in Singapore. If not for you, I will not be who I am now.

Your Thankful Daughter.
