Thank you for being constantly by my side through difficult moments. What can be more painful to see your loved ones suffering emotionally and financially. Year 2020 has been a year filled with ups and downs. And through it all, you led my family and myself out of darkness slowly. My husband lost his job and then came along Covid which made it even harder for him to get back into the workforce. Through your constant intercession, you gave us the strength & courage to use his gift in setting up a restaurant for ourselves. We managed to set up a restaurant after the circuit breaker and this little place has been visited by many happy customers. Most importantly, thank you for having my family’s support. Thank you for my brother who gave up his stable job as an executive chef to come and join in this venture as the chef of our restaurant; and for my sister who volunteers her service over the weekends despite her busy schedule. Thank you for granting me a beautiful and supportive family. There is nothing more that I can ask for.
Your Grateful Daughter.
2. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,
Today I like to give thanks to you for answering my prayers. I have been trying for a baby since 2017 and I only had heartbreaks with 2 miscarriages and experienced numerous disappointments. It was indeed very dark days for me then, I continued to attend the Novena weekly and asked for your intercession, never giving up even after being told that my medical condition and advanced age were against me. I was told even if I did conceive, my baby will be a premature one and the pregnancy will be a challenging one. The turning point came in 2019 when I met a wonderful and a very experienced gynaecologist who is also a catholic. Through his advice and encouragement, even with my condition, I found out that I was expecting in February 2020 and he delivered my baby safely in September. I truly believe that you allowed me to cross paths with this doctor who has been like our Guardian Angel and through your intercession, the baby was not only healthy but a full-term baby. Today, I give my most heartfelt thanks to you for giving me this most precious gift of the womb. I will never forget your love for me and my family and this is a great testimony of your unwavering love. Thank you, dearest Mother.
Your Loving and Grateful Catholic Daughter.
3. Dearest Mother Mary,
It had been many years since I stopped coming to the Novena Church. I started attending the Novena again online 2 months back when I was feeling helpless and desperate. My daughter was going to sit for her PSLE but she was not interested in her studies and was easily distracted with electronic gadgets. When she received her results, our family was overjoyed that she had done well enough to be admitted to the Express Stream. I know that it would not have been possible without your help and intercession. I thank you Mother, for your prayers in time of my need.
4. Dearest Mother,
Thank you for helping my grand-daughter to do well in her exams. I know that it is through your help, guidance and intercession that she has succeeded. Thank you with all my heart and loving you always.
Your Loving and Grateful Daughter.
5. Dearest Mother Mary,
Thank you for your ever-loving presence in our lives and I had a super stressful day over so many things. I am glad I found peace, comfort and blessing after meditation and reading the Bible.
6. Dearest Mother,
I wish to thank you that my eldest daughter graduated from the University this year with Honours. She has been coming with me for Saturday Novena since she was in Primary School. We asked for your intercession during all her major exams. And despite the pandemic, she found a job and this only proves that the online novena is an effective channel to continue our devotion during this pandemic. All these were made possible because of your continuous intercession and guidance. I know that you will never fail to help my child as you did help me throughout all these years. My late mother’s devotion to you was such an inspiration that I am now passing on to my children. You are full of grace and blessed, that you are only waiting for us to ask. Thanking you in my heart is not enough that’s why I am writing to tell everyone of your powerful intercession.
Your Grateful Daughter.
7. Dearest Mother Mary,
Thank you for giving me a chance to serve you in my Catholic cell group community. Thank you for blessing my family with good health, fruitful business and solutions to past problems. My family comes from different religious background but these past few months, we had the chance to gather and watch online Masses and share with each other at home. This year has been a great blessing for us all because of the kindness of our Lord Jesus Christ and, you, Mother Mary, who always intercede for us in our prayers.
8. Dearest Mama Mary,
After more than 10 years of wandering, our family finally settled down with a roof over our head to call our own. You show us that you can give the hopeless hope. We know that it is you who made this happen, granting us the wish to own not just a house but a home. A home that is close to you at Novena so that you can look after us and guide us to love you and your Son, our Saviour. O mother Dearest, thank you so much for being a loving Mother to all.
